Botany Foreshore Ride

Despite grey skies, the Botany Foreshore ride attracted a keen group of riders. The ride hugs the coast and provides excellent views of Sydney Airport, the beaches of Botany Bay and the lower Georges River. The ride follows the Cooks River to Botany Bay near Sydney Airport then continues south along the foreshore past the beaches of Kyeemagh, Brighton-Le-Sands, Ramsgate and on to Sans Souci returning via the same route with a lunch stop at Brighton-LeSands.

Douglas-ParkOur rides coordinator, Phillip Jackson, has sent in some photos of some Bike Liverpool’s recent rides. The first image is the group of riders at Queens Rd entrance to Parramatta Park just before the ride to Windsor and back. The gang were entertained by the Police booking drivers failing to stop at the Stop Sign. The second image is from the Campbelltown –Douglas Park – Menangle Park Loop ride, with some keen riders enjoying the countryside and views not far from Douglas Pk.

A superb day to celebrate Bike Week

We had a fantastic morning to celebrate bike week. Meeting at Casula Powerhouse we headed along the riverside path towards Liverpool and followed the shared path along Elizabeth Drive to join up with the M7 path. A short detour took us through the pretty countryside at Prestons after which we enjoyed a coffee break at Casula Mall. Our final jaunt home took us through Leacocks Regional Park which is alive with the sound of bell birds and whip birds. Thanks to Maree for organising everything and to Alison, Phil, Gaynor and Gary for the good company.
